Digital Marketing Tactics – Use the Power of Conversation to Increase Conversions

For digital marketing, the most important thing is to convert that potential customer into a paying customer. For it to work, the flow of information, or the flow of thought, or the flow of conversation needs to be useful to someone who’s sitting at home in front of their computer. Just like how some of the most powerful marketing techniques are those that you can use within a conversation.

Storytelling. This is one of the most powerful tools for business today. You can use storytelling in a variety of different ways. It can be something as simple as emailing your prospect and asking them what kind of content they would like on your website, or it can be something as involved as a series of emails with story arcs that tie together the messages in a way that has a real pull to them. The key is to make sure that you’re able to relate the message to the person you’re trying to sell to.

Experience. Experience. It’s the right way to sell. The more you know about your audience, the better the chance that you’ll get people interested in what you have to offer. If you can provide enough information to your prospects that they feel as though they’ve known you before, then they’ll want to go ahead and buy from you.

Imagery. Imagery is incredibly powerful. Images of products that are close to your audience’s heart can be incredibly compelling. Once people are hooked, it can be incredibly difficult to turn them off. A good example is how a very popular t-shirt that was designed for children during their Christmas holiday had a great deal of embedded images that went right to the point, with very few words to break up the overall look.

Picture. How many times have you read an article that gave an excellent and very detailed description of an idea or a new product without a picture? That’s exactly why you need a picture.

No facts. If you’re talking about digital marketing, no facts means that you need to use imagery, images, but it’s important to have some simple facts and figures. For example, you may be selling a video in a series, and a certain number of people watched each video.

Encouragement. When people have old friends that they can share with, or they have a new service that they can see, or they have something that they don’t really understand yet, then you have a great way to talk to them. You can tell them a little bit about what you have to offer and encourage them to share it with their friends and loved ones.

Try these strategies. These are simple things that you can do to increase your overall digital marketing ROI (return on investment).
